Why does everything in SF close early?

So far the city has been great. It has a cool vibe.

So I live in the South Beach/SOMA area, and everything closes so early – the Safeway, the burger place, etc. More or less everything closes. I just want to grab a bite to eat, bad enough I have to do it alone, and its all shut down.

Is there anywhere in the city that’s not shut down?

  LOL Its a good thing they close that early. YOU don’t need to be eating that late anyway….
