1989 was a good year. I was a freshman in high school, the world was stable, and Neneh Cherry had the hit “Buffalo Stance” [actually it wa 1988], which will always be remember for “Yo’ man what do you expect that guy is a gigolo man”. Hahahaha too funny, but it has a very addictive beat. It peaked at number 3 on the US and UK pop charts, but it hit number 1 on the US dance charts. Unfortunately she lost out to Milli Vanilli in 1990 for the ‘Best New Artist Grammy’.
