I love science.  It always catches my attention, and when this whole global warming discussion came about, I was eager to learn more.  Anyway, as I do learn more, I learn that its certainly not the “slam dunk” that most people claim it is.  In fact, more than half of published scientists do not agree with the claim that there is an abnormal global warming trend that, and moreover, they don’t think it will have an impact on society.

The way I see it, is that this is the biggest scam ever – designed to distract from the real events of the world – i.e. needless wars, corruption, theft (i.e the US bailout of economic institutions, etc.).  What people should be focusing on is poor air quality, poor drinking water, and pollution.  If the powers that be just said, we need to tackle these things, I would 100% support the efforts, but when they call it “global warming”, I just get pissed.  There was an Ice Age, correct?  The ice melted, correct?  During that period in between, there was no man, so what caused the ice to melt…natural changes in climate… just think about it.

I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.

Private doubts about whether the world really is heating up:

The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong. Our observing system is inadequate.
